The Orion Nebula

Right now, not so very far away, new stars are being created.

For some reason that makes me feel good.

A long time ago, when my soul belonged to Liz Claiborne and I would leave my store late winter evenings, I'd walk to my car with my eyes to the skies. There would be Orion, steady and strong in the sky, arrow poised and ready just in case a mugger was around.

The nights of retail are long gone, but I still look for Orion, he's just starting to peer out when I leave the office. I say hello and smile.

I know I'm silly, that's what makes me ME =)

and after reading this...
"The Orion Nebula (also known as Messier 42, M42, or NGC 1976) is a diffuse nebula with a greenish hue and is situated below Orion's Belt. It is one of the brightest nebulae, and is visible to the naked eye in the night sky. M42 is located at a distance of about 1,500 light years away, and is the closest region of star formation to Earth. The M42 nebula is estimated to be 30 light years across."
... I just thought he was happy to see me... =)
