Damn Russians.
Could be worse - you could build a nuclear installation to make plutonium (the most poisonous stuff EVER) to sell to "Friendly Powers", and let it catch fire and almost explode. Then deny it but watch the kids die from leukaemia anyway. And then decommission it and drop the residue down a really deep hole. Which is safe, obviously.
Thankfully, that couldn't happen in Britain, could it?
The installation was Windscale and the hole is Dounreay...
