What kind of nettles are those? We have stinging nettles here (really nasty when you accidentally run through a thicket wearing shorts!). I've heard you can eat nettles but I want to know what they taste like too!
yup. Ordinary garden stinging nettles. cooking removes the stings. Taste a bit like spinache. Had them in a rissotto last nigh. They are very high in iron & meant to be very good for you. But mainly they are free.

What did they taste like Rich? Look a bit like spinach. I bet they would be nice in a quiche with lots of cheese.

I bet they would taste even nicer with a drizzle of chilli oil and some mashed beetles. yummy!
