the sound of breaking glass
Its a lovely day and I'm mowing the lawn.
And there is a stone.
which fires out at huge speed, narrowly missing my leg.
Well guess I was lucky, hey?
actually, no. Because they fix legs on the NHS.
Unlike hugely expensive patio windows.
Some serious sulking followed.

Don't worry, patio doors are insured (aren't they?) and the NHS would put your legs on the wrong way round...
Still tuning in and laughing. I remind myself of happy times and Hobson's, despite good sense and looming work, every time I read of a(nother) chez Rich disaster!
When's this year's babrbie?
Having had a leg (well, ankle) fixed last week by the NHS, believe me I would take a smashed patio door anytime.
I hope you are insured ???!!!???
Legs and patio doors are overrated.
with Legs you might have upgraded to a smart set of carbon fiber ones - very stealthy.
