whooo whooo...

There was a hard frost last night in scenic Telford. This morning the sun was shining and everything was white and sparkling, so I walked into work. The trees are in full autumn display, and I kicked through the fallen leaves, and blew out steam in the cold air, and made train noises. Ok, some of the local kids now think I'm a freak but hey, it made me happy.
But now I'm in the office & its about 80 degrees & I'm rather regretting the thermal vest.

How lovely... what a memorable moment that you can linger back to when you hear the heaters in the office kick on.

Did you walk through the lawn at all? There is a satisfying keerrrrunch with each foot fall upon a frosty lawn. That's one of my favorite sounds.

That and the squunch of stomping on the acorns scattered across my office parking lot. I park farther away from the buildings just to have a longer squunch path.

80 degrees?

How on earth are companies supposed to keep costs down with a heating bill like that!

Our office air-conditioning, which broke down in July, has just been fixed! And the fire door has broken so it's now wedged open so we can escape a blaze. I'm so fucking cold I'd jump in the fire to thaw out. I'm sure the heating will be back on next August...

Having lived in Canada all my life I don't see the big deal about snow...it is cold, wet, slippery and a pain in the butt to shovel. Oh yes it would be great if there was only a light sprinkling at Chrismas but we get loads of it dumped on us six months out of the year. I love summer, I miss summer I yearn for the return of my favourite season.

As for office temperatures...every office I have ever worked at is freezing in the summer and slightly less freezing in the winter. We had several power failures in the summer because the AC was drawing too much power. I don't complain though just bundle up and drink lotsa hot drinks.

Have a great day Rich and stay happy!
