eyes right
When flatfish such as plaice are born they are actually fish shaped. Then their left eye (always the left eye apparently)works its way around to the right side of its body and they take to lying on their left side. For some strange reason I felt the need to share this fact with you all.

You are a wealth of information dear sweet Old Man Rich...it is my favourite kind of information too...seemingly useless, sometimes disgusting, but always fascinating (at least to me). I love reading your site because I never know what treasured nuggets of info I will find.

Periodically a program on the mountain gorrillas comes around on discovery. I think its called 'the great apes' or similar. And in it there is footage of me, unwashed for several days, with badly cut bleached blond hair, 'mincing' through the jungle in a frighteningly camp fashion. Its not good. I think I have to rule out a TV career. Maybe radio?
